The elite of world cycling and Livetools Technology once again found themselves in Canada, amid glorious sunshine, for the two ProTour races in Québec and Montréal.


Euro Media France covered the two events for the Serdy group using three cameras on motorbikes, one sound bike and the full set of HF equipment (including relay plane, helicopter footage plus traditional receiving equipment on the ground).

From the snow to the palm trees of L.A.

The Tour of California came to an end under the sun and the oak trees of Thousand Oaks this weekend after a week of broadcasts for ASO, which started badly for the contestants in the snow of Lake Taho.

The 763 miles of the race were covered in 8 days across the landscape of the western United States, and broadcast by Versus in the US and to Eurosport in Europe.

  • Improved reception robustness in all transmission modes, in particular for DPROx modes;
  • New transmission modes DPRO10, DPRO20 (option);
  • Possibility to daisy-chain two receivers to exploit 4-way diversity;
  • Optional Ethernet interface to monitor the status and control the receiver through an IP connection (photo);
  • Fully programmable PIDs, bitrates, etc. for maximum flexibility;
  • Support for the 3400-3800MHz band.

International Rally of Valais 2008 (Switzerland)

From October 23rd to 25th 2008, SFP ensured for Eurosport the 'live' retransmission of the International Rally of Valais 2008 part of the IRC championship (Intercontinental Rally Challenge).

In addition to an important setup of triax cameras present on the finishing line, 10 racing car and an helicopter equipped with LiveTools RF links allowed the viewers of Eurosport to be literally at the side of the pilots and the copilots.

This world 'first' on a major channel allowed the IRC championship to grab the deserved attention from the general public considering the interest and passion invested in this competition.

LiveTools mobilized to provide Euro Media Group with new technological means to achieve the long distance terrestrial wireless HD RF coverage of all game events that took place outside of the stadiums, with the only exception of the Sailing competitions.

Euro Media Group HF department has used our equipments on various Olympic venues in Beijing, most notably Road cycling, Marathon, Triathlon and Road Walk.
