Areva Meeting : our athletes at the Stade de France

Areva Meeting : our athletes at the Stade de France

As is the case every year, Euro Media France deploys a very large setup for Canal+. Last weekend the Stade de France once again took on its « athletics layout » to host the AREVA meeting.

More than one hundred technicians worked side by side together with our 3 OB units:

  • The XXL3: for the international feed of the competition (discus and weight throwing, weightlifting, pole vaulting, high jump, long jump, triple jump, etc.) with Laurent Lachand producing the event – and a double production with Cyril Martinetto for the javelin throwing. This unit handles 13 cameras including a Superloupe from DVS and a crane + 5 paluches (mini POV cameras).
  • The XL2: present for the international coverage of various races with Jean Jacques Amsellem in charge of production.                                                                                                                       The installation comprises 10 cameras including 1 Superloupe from DVS, 1 speedtrack supplied by ACS and 2 RF cameras (1 handheld + 1 Steadycam) with Livetools technology. In the same unit, Mohammed Hassani produces the custom graphics for Canal+ with 4 additional cameras.
  • The XL4: Receives the feeds from the various sources and has 2 dedicated cameras for a private feed. An SNG vehicle from S-TV completes the setup.

At the same time we also installed 5 vocal booths (2 « fully-fitted » with monitors and sound equipment and 3 « semi-fitted » with monitors only).

In 10 days time the same setup will leave for Monaco to cover the other much-awaited meeting in the world of athletics: the Herculis meeting, which can also be followed on Canal+.
