Tour of Portugal Contract renewed

Off we go again!

As EMF crews are hard at work today covering Stage 6 of the Tour de France, Portuguese TV channel RTP1 has just announced that it will be calling on our services once again to cover the Tour de Portugal.

So our HD crews, fitted with the Livetools technologies, will be off to Portugal to cover the Volta in August!

And they're off!
The centenary edition of the Tour de France got under way on Saturday in Corsica. The journey will end on July 21, on the Champs-Elysées.
In all, 87 people pulled on the Euro Media France jersey this year!
The team provides three weeks of ever more stunning coverage for viewers in 190 countries, including a number of technical feats and exploits, thanks to Livetools' digital transmitters and receivers.

Euro Media France will kick off its cooperation with VRT in the 83rd Tour of Belgium from 21 to 26 May.

To allow the television audience to follow every second of the 728-km race, EMF has set up a coherent system consisting of 3 HF “video” motorbikes and one HF “audio” motorbike, a “video” helicopter equipped with a Cineflex, one relay helicopter, and a pressurised relay airplane, all of them fitted with the Livetools technologies, to cover the five stages of this national grand tour (2.HC).

For the fourth year in a row, EMF has been at the starting line of the famous Tour of California. In this 8th version of the Tour, the competition will be held from 12 to 19 May.

A significant system has been set up by the crews of EMF to film the Tour of California for the TV production organised by ASO:

71st “Sunshine Race”…in the rain

Euro Media France’s HF teams were on the starting line in Paris to accompany the cyclists on the Riviera for a live broadcast of the famous Paris-Nice race.
Scheduled on the worldwide UCI calendar, this cycling race in stages is the first of the year.

Like every year, France Télévisions relied on the Euro Media France’s HF expertise to provide the technical resources for the race but this year, the shooting was performed jointly by the Euro Media Group’s subsidiaries: Livetools (for the technologies) ACS (for Cineflex) and Videohouse.

Cycling: destination Portugal

The Euro Media France RF teams returned yesterday from a 12 day trip to Portugal. From Wednesday 15th August, a team composed of three image bikes, one sound bike, a helicopter equipped with a Wescam and one relay plane covered the “Volta a Portugal” (the Tour of Portugal).
A fixture on the UCI Europe Tour 2011 calendar, this 74th tour took place over 11 stages and was broadcast by RTP (Radio Televisao Portuguesa).

Vattenfall Cyclassics: Nobeo and EMF in the saddle

Last weekend, the French and German Euro Media France subsidiaries covered on of the longest classic cycle races of the year. Covering 245.9km, this 17th Vattenfall Cyclassics was skilfully filmed in Hamburg thanks to the synergy between the Euro Media France RF equipment (2 image bikes, 1 Wescam helicopter and one relay plane) and the broadcasting equipment from Nobeo (the OB truck Nobeo 1 was installed on the finish line).
